Full control – full transparency
The glass industry is a fairly classic case for gas analysis technology for monitoring emissions and exhaust gas purification systems, as well as for process optimization and quality assurance: only the final measurement of emissions in the stack is a legally required measurement. Otherwise, gas analyses are mainly used to monitor melting and scrubbing processes. The composition of the gases when determining the energy mix is just as relevant as the monitoring of transport and mixing processes within the plants.

Special challenges
Even if the final product is often clear glass in the end, the manufacturing process poses various challenges for the measurement and analysis technology: the fluctuating temperature during the production process, the sometimes aggressive and corrosive gases and aerosols as well as the moisture load must be taken into account when extracting, transporting and conditioning the sample gases.
For example, the PSG Plus probe can be provided with a special corrosion-resistant coating on the wetted parts.
A large selection of materials, such as particularly alloyed stainless steels or plastics, always provide the right solution for the construction of the heated sample gas line.
During conditioning, the PTFE-coated heat exchanger of the PSG Plus cooler MAK 10 system ensures a corrosion-resistant and hydrophobic surface.
In addition, PSG has been supplying turnkey solutions for over 30 years with worldwide references, ranging from small conditioning systems on mounting plates to entire analysis houses and containers.
